Gary Vaynerchuk Book Signing at Vromans in Pasadena

Yesterday, Gary Vaynerchuk (@Garyvee) made it out to Vroman’s in Pasadena to talk about his new book, “The Thank You Economy“. First off, Vromans is a GREAT bookstore – wonderful staff, great atmosphere, and a nice cafe that makes a killer espresso. I got there a bit early and won a copy of Cody Wood‘s (@CodyWood) new album titled “Nothin’ To It” which I must say is going to fit in well to my evening relaxation over a glass of whine whilst I read and/or write.

I haven’t read “The Thank You Economy“ just yet, but I’m totally lookin’ forward to getting through it by the end of the week. I read Gary’s first book and I dig his passion, his hustle and his no-nonsense approach to making things happen!

While I’m busy reading, if you were there (or you’ve read the book), what was your biggest takeaway? How are you implementing the principles in this book in your business?

I got it in my Kindle the day it came out. I am finishing up “Content Rules” today, awesome book too, but I cannot wait to dive into the “Thank You Economy”. I would also recommend strongly Seth Godin's “Poke The Box”.
I am so jealous that he was up in your neck of the woods. Apparently we have not bought enough of his books down here in San Diego to warrant a visit. ):

See, now I need to get a Kindle! I read too many books to be lugging them all around.

“Content Rules” was great. C.C. and Ann are both great folks whom I greatly respect in the space. I did have a chance to read Seth Godin's “Poke the Box”, up next is Gary's book 🙂

You'll have to make the drive up to the LinkedOC event in may Michael:

That was a fun event and I'm so excited that he covered all the reasons why I love social media. I'm still a 1/3 of a way into the book. His talk was so raw and real. It was also great to see you again. Thanks for the video!

I like his no B.S. approach to everything. I just cracked it open, but looking forward to finishing it up this week as well!

Been too long since I've last seen you… I promise not to schedule my Tweets anymore (not that I ever did, ahem). 😛

You should also promise not to wait too long to see your friends 🙂

Dude! Seeing your friends should be your first promise vs schedule tweets. Friends mean more than tweets 🙂

Sorry I missed the event. Rain kept me away ;-( I always enjoy your Animoto videos, though 😉

Haven't read the book yet, but it's on my list. I look forward to hearing your thoughts when you're done with it.

I'm having more and more fun with Animoto! I have a few conferences coming up next week in Orange County and Atlanta, GA. My company just got a Canon S95 (I think is the model) – C.C. Chapman recommended it. I'm really looking forward to shooting with it to get some better picture quality!

As for last night, I realize how much I miss Pasadena. And I always appreciate Gary's no B.S. approach to things… I just cracked open the book, but looking forward to reading. Will definitely have some notes on it soon!

I'm pretty sure Calvin has just about every brand t-shirt (Twitter, Klout, etc.). Heck, he even has a @Mayhemstudios Twitter Master t-shirt that he passes out to his posse, heh.

Vromans was great, totally dig that store and well, miss Pasadena of course. We'll have to catch up some other time soon!
