It’s pretty wild to think that we’re halfway through the year.
But that’s ok, take a deep breath, and don’t take your foot off the gas.
June is halftime – the perfect moment to step out of reactive mode and step into rebuild mode.
Here’s the simplest framework you can use to reset, realign, and make the next 90 days your best yet …
Back when I was at Zillow, we didn’t wait until December to figure out if we were on track.
We had scorecards.
We had mid-year check-ins.
And we had one question that mattered most:
“Are you pacing to hit your goals, or are you making excuses?”
It was part performance review, part therapy session (i.e. how can we help you get back on track and back on pace).
We’d get real about what was working, what wasn’t, and what needed to change before it was too late. We tracked this weekly via our daily stand-ups.
And here’s the truth: most agents probably never do this.
They just coast through the summer and hope the fall market saves them.
But you?
My hope is that you’re not most agents.
Here’s your 3-part Mid-Year Reboot:
1) 3 Wins
Look back.
What worked?
→ Where did deals actually come from?
→ What habits drove results?
→ What did you enjoy doing that made money?Double down on those. Systematize them. Scale them.
2) 3 Wastes
Now be honest. What didn’t work?
→ Ads that got no ROI.
→ Drip campaigns nobody opened.
→ Time spent chasing the wrong people.Cut ruthlessly. This is your margin and frankly, your sanity.
3) 3 Opportunities
Where are you leaving money on the table?
→ Past clients you haven’t called.
→ Cold leads you could revive.
→ Listings you could win with a CMA video and a text.Pick one and go all in for the next 30 days.
Here’s the Big Idea:
You don’t need a 47-point business plan.
You need a pause (to reflect).
You need clarity.
You need to act on what’s real (i.e. what’s really moving the needle).
This is your moment to reboot.
Don’t look up in November wishing you had recalibrated sooner.
Do it now.
Run your business like a pro.
Start your second half with intention.
Make it a great week!
