I’ve been doing a lot of training over the last several months speaking to thousands of agents from various brokerages in different states.
Everyone wants to have a successful career selling real estate. It can be incredibly lucrative but it’s also be very challenging.
One thing I’ve noticed most successful agents do well is, they follow a system.
However most people:
- Don’t want to do the work
- Get distracted by all of the other things they can do
Anyone who’s good at sales follows a system.
- They master their scripts (objection handling, cold-calling, etc.)
- They work their numbers (all day every day)
Do those two things well and you’ll eventually close a new buyer or win a new listing.
Yes, you can explore SEO, PPC, Facebook ads, etc. You can look at the latest and greatest new lead generation systems and strategies and try to learn and master those.
But, the best real estate agents are calm, they’re not frazzled, and they’re not tactics chasers.
They say “no” to everything that’s not critical to growing their business.
If you’re new, focus on the few things that are going to help you get new customers. Follow the system, first. Then focus on new strategies and tactics if, and only if, they’re going to help you move closer towards your goals.
