Creating A World Wide Rave – Book Review

I speak at a lot of events for REALTORS® and one of the questions I most often get asked is:

What books do you recommend?

World Wide RaveWell, I read a lot of books so recommending any one book to start is difficult… I almost want to say different books for different types (beginner to advanced). One of the most recent ones I’ve read and that I rather enjoyed was “World Wide Rave” by David Meerman Scott. What I really caught my attention about this one was the opening wherein David points out the fact that “nobody cares about your service or product but YOU.” You know what, there’s a lot of truth in that statement! Too many people care about how many fans/followers they have merely so they can market to them. Well, unless your solving someone’s problem(s) or delivering top-shelf content, nobody cares… And that’s a fact!

All in all, I thought this book was an easy read and it provided a good structure for you to follow in using social media to build a fan-base and market your business/product. So if you want a quick and resourceful read, this is it…
