Do Epic Shit

Sooner or later, you’re going to realize that success doesn’t come to those who sit around waiting for permission in life. You have to go out there and make sh*t happen.

Period.

My advice (to my younger self, my younger brother and anyone trying to make things happen):

  1. Stop waiting for permission to do something awesome
  2. Silence the inner critic
  3. Don’t ever be afraid to fail
  4. When you do fail, get up and try again
  5. Remember, your ideas are better than you think they are (see #2)
  6. Ignore the haters (they too are critics; see #2)
  7. Ignore negative people (they’re energy mongers)
  8. Stop waiting for things to be perfect because they never will be
  9. Execute (remember #8)

You’ll never get ahead in life if you keep waiting for things to happen. So my challenge to you: Do Epic Shit.

Quit waiting for permission. Stop being afraid to fail. Get out there and just do it. Then, come back and tell me all about it and we’ll do a toast together.

Deal?

Haha, great post Ricardo and so true! So many critics out there, so many naysayers and so much negative energy. Love this post. Trust your gut. Be smart. Learn from the past when/where it makes sense, but don’t be afraid to carve a new path and “Do Epic Sh*t” as you so eloquently put it! 🙂

    Cheers!
    Zack

Perfectly put Ricardo. Those 10 tips should be printed out and pasted to the bathroom mirror of some folks. It is kind of reminiscent of Napoleon’s Hill’s “Think and Grow Rich” Principles (Ricardo Style) I am glad to have came across your blog and will be a frequent guest here in the near future. I like your style sir.

I’m on board.  #9 is especially important.  We don’t get paid to sit around and come up with creative ideas… you have to execute.

Riardo, aloha. Your title says it all:  Do Epic Shit

Great points all so that your readers can Do Epic Shit.

Richardo, since I see the hat tip to Julien Smith, I “assume” you have read his recent book Flinch.  If not, you will love it. Head on over to Amazon and you can download it for free.  In a recent post of mine, I recommend it and the thanks yous have been pouring in for the recommendation.

wishing you a year of exciting projects, interesting people, vibrant health, happiness in your heart and abundance in all that matters to you.  Hauoli Mkahiki Hou. Janet
